Cat's Diary...

Day 983 of my captivity.
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made condescending comments about what a "good little hunter" I am.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of "allergies." I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage.

Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released - and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now...

RENEWED!!

Intervention.

Have you every been the subject of an intervention? Or maybe part of an intervention "team"?

I was on both sides this week. My sister and best friend Janet performed an intervention on our STUFF. Yep. Hoarding disorder!! Really!

We literally could not move nor unpack in our new place because of all the stuff. Last Thursday my sister showed up with a 17' UHAUL.

Guess what?

We FILLED it. Half went was donated and the other half went to the dump. I'm completely embarrassed to admit that the half that went to the dump totalled OVER 1.3 TONS. How does this happen!?!?!

Yeah, well, don't be so smug, you've got more stuff that you probably realize!

But I literally feel more FREE, lighter, more clear and less oppressed. Over the next two weeks the goal is to pare down to only the essentials (in personal AND business).

It is pretty exciting to have set up my work area for candles yesterday. All my "equipment" is pretty much still in boxes, but soon everything will have a home. And if it doesn't - off with it then! I'm really getting good at purging stuff (both Janet and my sister are PROUD of me!!)

Silly, huh? Not really. There is a website devoted to this problem...

I was SHOCKED that we fit the ticket...I suppose identifying the problem is 99% of the cure, huh?

If you know someone who needs help, please, for their sake step out and kindly bring up the topic in a non-judgmental, caring way. I have difficulty associating our family with the word "hoarding" but that is how it is named, oh well! Reality check!

I'm so glad to have friends and family who love me so much!!

So...ONWARD to unpacking those candle boxes!

More soy candles and new stuff coming soon (can you say "scented TEALIGHTS"?) :)

MOVED

Why do I hate moving!?!?!?!

Could it be dancing around boxes is NOT romantic? Could it be that I open the wrong drawer to get the spoons EVERY time? Maybe because all the towels need to be washed or maybe because I can't find a thing!

But I must be optimistic...much has been accomplished...thank you craigslist.org ! I am turning my junk into cash, I love that!

We are working diligently to get SparklePuss up and running again, though the "studio" doesn't even exist yet...but that's what Saturdays are for, right? And mowing the lawn of course!

Thanks for checking in...more soon!!!
